The top storage has paddle latch w/ inter-connecting rod so when one side is opened it releases the other side. They also lock & include keys.Insulated and coating on insulation to give long life and protect and keep dogs from chewing on insulation. If a really nutty puppy does chew it, it will not harm him ! The top is not insulated on this Model 2 because it has the storage compartment top (Model 1 has no storage top and has the top insulation board)Custom sizes and options available on request and take about 4 weeks.Should last you a lifetime. Any box we sell can come in black powder coated aluminum, it takes 4 weeks (or less) for black and is an $ 100 upchargeWARRANTY : Workmanship of the box is covered for life. The customer is responsible for all freight charges, but if something goes wrong with it, we will fix it.
