Cons: Collar needs modification, the spray unit is delicate, batteries die quickly.

First off this is not to be used to get a dog to listen to you. This is to stop a dog from doing stuff you don't want him to do. You should never use any type of cue (aka say anything to the dog) when spraying the dog. If you do the dog will associate YOU with the spray and not the bad behavior. Then the dog won't like YOU. Don't say "No Sparky" and then spray him. You don't even want to be near him when he gets sprayed. Just wait till he does the unwanted behavior and WHILE HE IS ACTUALLY DOING IT spray him, that's it. If you are too slow getting the remote and he isn't barking don't spray. If he WAS chasing the cat don't spray, you are too late. Then he just got sprayed for stopping barking or stopping chasing the cat. Don't spray the dog right after you put the collar on, he will figure it out. Collar goes on...I get sprayed...do you really think you dog is that dumb? THE WHOLE GOAL HERE IS THAT THE DOG THINKS THAT THE SPRAY CAME FROM GOD, OR FROM THE CAT HE WAS CHASING, OR FROM THE DIRT HE WAS DIGGING IN. You get the idea right?

Things this helps with: Digging in the yard, chasing other pets (like cats), barking for no reason, getting into something they shouldn't.

Now the collar sucks. It won't keep its size. I just used a needle and thread to set it to the size I want. Just a few loops of the needle is all it takes, Cut the thread to resize. The spray unit: don't get it wet, don't leave it in a hot car. Buy spare batteries.
