Product description and picture led me to believe this was a new genuine Brother part. When I received it, it was apparent that is was a compatible. I went back and re-read the product details and in there, I found one reference to it being a compatible versus genuine.

"Technically" and legally it may exonerate them from false advertising but I will not purchase from this site again. I am disappointed by the tolerance shown in pushing the marketing envelope. I will find another place to shop since it becomes too much work to ensure I'm getting what I expect here.
